Preparation or more commonly referred to as Pre-Production is the total planning process we go through before any shooting takes place.
The pre-production process is as important as every other aspect of video production, thorough planning and preparation is the only way to ensure a satisfactory programme which will fulfil your requirements.
A typical project pre-production will be as follows:-
Initial project meeting - To establish your audience, message, style & delivery method.
Create treatment - The treatment describes the style, content , objectives and the cost.
Once you are happy with the treatment and quotation we will produce working documents in the form of script, shooting schedule & storyboard. These documents will give you the closest representation of how the finished video production will look. You will have the opportunity to fine tune scripts and storyboards before we commence shooting.
Following script approval, our producer will liase with all parties to arrange shooting dates and locations. He will create a shooting schedule which will indentify times, crew & extras at each location. The shooting schedule will be created with cost in mind limiting use of each resource to a minimum. The shooting schedule need not follow the running order of the programme as the correct structure will be created during the editing process.
